UNDERSTANDING COMES FIRST · BY JESSI
A PERSONAL PERSPECTIVE
Light, selected with care.
A plan shaped around you.
Dermalux LED is a non-invasive phototherapy treatment that uses selected wavelengths of light. It may be considered when discussing concerns such as acne, redness or general skin appearance.
Your practitioner assesses your skin and selects an appropriate approach. Blue, red and near-infrared light may be used in different combinations depending on the plan. Responses vary, and suitability, expected effects and limitations are discussed first.
OUR CLINIC · A SPACE FOR YOUR QUESTIONSWHAT TO EXPECT
Your practitioner reviews your skin concerns, current routine and relevant health information, then explains whether LED may be suitable.
The skin is cleansed and the treatment area prepared. Your practitioner explains the session and provides the required eye protection.
The LED canopy is positioned over the treatment area, with the settings selected for your plan. Let your practitioner know if you feel uncomfortable.
Your facial includes finishing skincare to hydrate and protect. Discuss your home routine and whether further sessions or a review are appropriate.
BEFORE YOU DECIDE
Part of a plan.
Seen as a whole.
Tell your practitioner about medications, light sensitivity, relevant health conditions and recent procedures. They will discuss precautions and any reasons why LED may not be appropriate for you.
LED may be discussed as a standalone visit or within a broader skincare plan. Ask how it fits with your current products and other procedures, and when your skin should be reviewed.
A LITTLE CLARITY
No. Dermalux LED delivers light to the skin without needles. Your practitioner will explain the treatment and any preparation or precautions relevant to you.
The choice of blue, red or near-infrared light depends on your assessment and treatment plan. Your practitioner explains the selected approach and the effects and limitations relevant to your concerns.
The clinic’s existing LED information describes light sessions of approximately 20 to 30 minutes. Allow additional time for assessment and skincare; confirm the full appointment duration when booking.
A series may be discussed depending on your concerns and response. Your practitioner will explain the proposed frequency, costs and review points. A particular result cannot be guaranteed.
